Mobile
taiku works on phones and tablets with a touch-optimized interface. Join any session from a mobile browser — no app install required.
Single-tile view
Section titled “Single-tile view”On mobile, one terminal is visible at a time. Swipe left or right to switch between terminals, or tap the dot navigation bar at the bottom.
Touch keyboard
Section titled “Touch keyboard”A special keyboard bar appears above the virtual keyboard with keys that are hard to reach on mobile:

Quick-tap repeats the last-used option from each group. Hold to see all options.
Text selection
Section titled “Text selection”Three selection modes, toggled from the keyboard bar:
- Off — normal terminal interaction
- Line mode — drag to select full lines
- Character mode — drag to select individual characters
Selected text is automatically copied to the clipboard.
Responsive panels
Section titled “Responsive panels”Peek, tunnels, and chat panels appear as bottom sheets on mobile — swipe up to expand, tap outside to dismiss. The file viewer goes full-screen.
Viewport handling
Section titled “Viewport handling”The layout adjusts dynamically when the virtual keyboard opens, keeping the active terminal visible without overlap. taiku tracks the actual visible viewport height rather than relying on CSS viewport units.
