Using the mouse

Right-click a pane for its menu, click rows in lists and tables, and click the hints at the bottom of a panel.

Everything in the terminal UI works from the keyboard, and most of it also works with the mouse, as long as your terminal passes mouse events through. Almost every modern terminal does.

The pane menu

Right-click a pane to open its menu: split it, close it, and the other things you would otherwise reach with the prefix. Hover to move the highlight and click to choose.

Click to scrub
Right-clicking a pane, hovering down the menu, and clicking split right

Lists and tables

Rows highlight under the pointer and a click selects them. That holds for tables, file lists, the palette, and panels.

Click to scrub
Hovering over rows of a CSV table and clicking one to select it

Hints are buttons

The hint row at the bottom of a panel, the one that says ⏎ next or esc skip, is a row of buttons. Click one instead of pressing its key.

Click to scrub
Hovering the buttons on a hint row, clicking next, then clicking back

Selecting text

Dragging over a pane selects text and copies it, the same as copy mode.
